Welcome to the Reception page! This year your teacher is Mrs Wattrus, and the teaching assistant is Mrs Farmer.

We have a 30 place Reception Class and provide a safe, high-quality play-based provision that provides all pupils with learning opportunities and a system of support needed to reach their potential. 

In Reception, at Fairway Primary Academy, we want children to be prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life and to contribute positively to their community and the world around them. Our aim is to create a learning environment and build relationships which support, enhance, and invite a child’s curiosity, confidence, and individual competency to flourish regardless of backgrounds, circumstances or needs.

Reading in Reception consists of a daily Read Write Inc session. This will help the children to learn to read and write. To help support your child at home, please follow the link: https://www.ruthmiskin.com/parents/ 

Our PE day is: Wednesday. Children should come to school dressed in their PE kits.
