As Interim Headteacher, Hayley feels privileged to lead such a vibrant and ambitious school community.

Having worked in education for 15 years, with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), Hayley has had the opportunity to work in a range of senior leadership roles within Greenheart Learning Partnership across different settings.

Hayley is passionate about creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every child feels valued, challenged and inspired to achieve their very best. Believing in the power of strong relationships- with pupils, staff and the wider community- Hayley is committed to working together to provide the highest standards of education.

Hayley’s focus is always helping children to grow not just academically, but also socially and emotionally, so that they leave us confident, capable, and ready for the next stage of their journey.

Hello, my name is Mrs. Wattrus. 

My teaching career started in 2014 after completing an educational degree in Primary Education with QTS BA (Hons) at Edge Hill in Liverpool. Previously I have taught in Year 2 but have found a passion for the Early Years. I joined Fairway in 2023 as Early Years Lead, where I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. I also lead phonics and Geography. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading books and having days out with my friends and family. 

Mrs M Sawyers

Hello, my name is Mrs. Sawyers.  

My teaching career started in 2007 after completing an undergraduate degree and PGCE. My previous roles have included teaching reception to year three, phase leader, phonics lead, science lead and assistant head.  

I joined Fairway in 2023 as KS1 lead, PE lead, DSL and ECT mentor. In addition to these roles, I am now a lead mentor for Greenheart academy and reading lead. I am passionate about helping children to reach their potential academically, emotionally and socially.

Hello, my name is Mrs Hinchley. 

I have been teaching at Fairway Primary Academy since 2021. I studied Education Studies and English Literature as my undergraduate degree then completed my PGCE at Newman University. I am passionate about creating an enjoyable, safe, and supportive learning environment to give all pupils the opportunity to flourish in their learning. I have a musical background and as Music lead, I hope to pass my love of music to the children. I am also the Languages lead for the school too. When I am not teaching, I love to read and spend time with my family.

Mr R Irfan

Hello!  

I am Mr Irfan and I have been working at Fairway Primary Academy since 2023, but I have been working at other schools in the Trust since 2018. I achieved a first-class degree in English and worked with children in different capacities before deciding to become a teacher. I am very passionate about education and find great satisfaction in helping children grow academically and socially. When I am not teaching, I am an avid gamer and own (nearly) every gaming console that is out, which makes me very popular with the children.

Hello, I’m Miss Connelly. 

I have been working at Fairway Primary Academy since 2022 and joined after completing my degree at University of Wolverhampton, where I achieved a first-class degree in BA Honours (with QTS). I am passionate about every child feeling and talking through their emotions and finding school a safe place, especially as PSHE lead. I particularly enjoy getting to know the different personalities of the children and seeing how they develop both as a person and academically. When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing badminton at my local gym and seeing my friends.
